Gotta hand it to you guys. Ya'll were right on the money about the breathable waders. I purchased a pair of Hodgman Wadelite Breathables w/stockingfoot a couple weeks ago and finally got the chance to try them out today.
I went to a small state park here in N. Ga and tried'em out. They were so comfortable. I had wool socks, long underware, blue jeans, t-shirt and rain jacket on and I was really comfortable even in 42 degree water with the wind blowing. I admit that I did get cold during the 1-1 1/2 hours I was out there floating around, but it was like standing outside with the wind blowing. The park staff rode by and said I must've been crazy. I told them that I had cabin fever and was trying out my new waders and Buck's Bag.
If I get a chance to go this weekend, I'll try sweatpants over my long johns. Maybe that'll keep me a bit warmer.
