Its pretty easy man...don't be intimidated.

You need a light, you can buy one at walmart if you don't have one (I have an extra if you need to borrow one). Most of us just buy one that straps around your head. For a livewell, some people have used mesh bags with some type of form. Basically you want the fish to be able to move around. I personally used a plastic laundry basket with styrofoam around the top to keep it floating and put a lid I could open and close. Whatever works. The nice part is the night tournament is on a smaller lake, so the drag that you will get won't get to you that bad. If you need any tips let us know.
