#26589, "GOTTA NEWBIE KICKBOAT QUESTION"

just found this board....it's awsome to hear about local areas.

here's my question(s):
i'm thinking about getting a kick/pontoon boat. do you usually use fins while fishing from one or do you just row to where you want to be and drift/anchor?

do most of you stay seated when fishing? i've seen some have a platform for standing. i'm thinking this would also add a lot more weight.

do you actually pick these up and carry them? 60-70 lbs seems doable but the shape would make it pretty awkward to go any distance, not to mention a handfull of rods, lunch, and everything else you would take. i've seen/heard of people mention adding a wheel, is this what most of you do?

how fast are they to row? can you compare to a wood pram? way faster/easier than a 12 foot aluminum rowboat?

thanks....i think that's it for now :D
