#26732, "Future Pro @ Berryessa"

I had the priviledge to help promote my company @ the future pro tour at Lake Berryessa. My boss Charlie Almassey(who is in 5th in the points with Everstart on the Pro side) called me late friday night and wanted me up at Spanish Flat to help promote West Marine.

I got to Spanish @ about 1. I set up our booth. We gave 100 gallons of oil to the first 100 registered boaters. We also gave out over 140 catalogs for our shop. I met all the guys on the business end of Future Pro. All these guys are really good guys.

So weigh in was @ 330. 201 teams were registered(which as far as I know was the biggest turn out besides the Snagproof tourney) after about 10-12 boats weighed in a Father and son team came in with a NICE fish. She weighed in @ 9.06 lbs. He had big fish of the tourney(so far). After about 1/2 hr. another team brought in a monster. He caught this fish on a swimbait. They had found this particular fish durin pre-fishing. Tosses his swimbait and on the 2nd cast she ate it. After a good fight is partner was about to net it and MISSED. Then on the second try he hit the net. I woulda killed him. But after that they got this beauty in the boat. She weighed a massive 13.68(they ended up winning the tourney had big fishand a total weight of close to 20 lbs). Was really a site to see in person. The biggest fish I had seen in person before this was a 10.6. This was a huge fish.

Left all my gear @ home since technically I was on the clock. That was also awesome I got paid to hang out @ berryessa.

After all this around 715 went over to see our buddies BnT. They were over at Steele. As of last night Swampy was leading I believe by a pound or so. Good job to those guys. Good luck on day 2...

Thats my report and Im sticking to it.....

Daniel
