Sorry, John, our rules specifically state: "No kayaks, canoes, johnboats or aluminum-hulled boats." We wanted to maintain some sort of boundary there, & all the guys pretty much went with this rule, as stated.

If you REALLY wanted to push for it, you could make an appearance at our annual meeting in January, where we go over issues like this (as well as set up the new year's schedule). I'm not so sure we'd change the rule, but we'd let you speak your piece & try to sell it to the membership!

Alternatively, one of our members (Max Krieg) is selling his 6-foot kickboat for around $200. How 'bout buying that & eliminating the issue altogether??!!! (Just a thought!) :-)
