thanks guys! well heres a report:

i knew exactly where i wanted to go and what i wanted to do and what i could do if that didnt work out. i was up at clear lake i think 8 weekends straight since now, half the time in a bass boat and half the time in a kickboat. Day 1 started off slow until sun up, caught my first couple fish on a speed trap off a rocky/weedy point, right around the corner i caught 2 more keepers on a lipless. Then all the boats came and they were everywhere. from then on till weigh in i focused on un pressured areas, inbetween docks rippin, throwin a lipless, speed trap and dropshotting. culled out twice before weigh in both dropshotting, and ended up with 11 something and sitting in 5th.

Day 2 also started out slow, fished a lipless and speed trap, and ripped a lot in the morning and didnt get touched. picked up the dropshot and caught a solid fish off the first dock i dropshotted. kept dropshotting a series of docks in a cove and about 10 dinks and an hour later dropshotted another solid fish. gave up on the docks after a long stretch and nothing worth staying for, i made a long row to a Huge point and started dropshotting the drop off the end, right away caught one of my better fish and about 10 squeekers and just as many dinks. once i left that point there was about 3 hrs left and i headed into a marina and started dropshotting some slips and flippin a jig to some wood. flipped my biggest fish out of the wood and dropshotted another solid fish out of a slip. I was surprised to weigh in 15 lbs, i was guessing 12 or 13, and was even more surprised to take it after some guys brought in solid weights the day before.
