The dimensions on my live well I am not to sure of but it is a 12 or 14 gallon container that will hold 10 gallons of water. (I purchased it a OSH and it fits in the center in the back rack with enough room for a small container/cooler on each side.)
Just fill the container up with 10 gallons, mark the level, drain the tank, and drill a few 1/2" holes in the back. The 10 gallons adds about 80 lbs. to the boat so make sure the pontoons are set correctly otherwise the back end will be underwater and the boat will be much more difficult to control.

As for rowing it take some practice. Pick a line you want to follow, find a stationary object on shore, set it down the middle of your boat, and keep it there.

Hope this helps,
FIT
