Thanks again guys and here we go:

Did a short pre-fish on Saturday with my boat team partner. Found a buzz bite but most were short strikes. Figured this could be something with a warmer day ahead.

Raced up the river with a number of guys to above the barrier. Only a couple casts in a 4 lber slams my buzz and I quickly get it in the boat (I forgot my net)! Yeah baby! I thought going into the day 12-15 lbs would put me in good shape and this 4 would really help!!!

After about 5 minutes of getting my line unwrapped and the fish in the boat I kick back up to the spot I nailed the 4 lber. On my first good cast back a 1.5 nails the buzz!

After this I went for a short drought but then picked up #3 flipping a senko between a mat and the bank. A nice 2.5. Just after that a 2.5 lber comes off my frog walking it back from a tulle patch. Damn.

There was a long drought after this on the slack tide and when I talk to DJ he lets me know he's gotten 4 in the well with more lost! Dang!

After mixing it up with the buzz, senko and frog I decide to fish the middle section with a buzz and WHAM! #4 slams it and I put it in the well. This was around 10:30. My confidence has just jumped and from there I continue down until I get slammed again but the fish just missed getting hooked. I quickly grab my flipping rod and toss in my beaver...there goes my line!!! Set hook and #5 is in the boat!!! Nice 3+ and I'm starting to feel pretty good. We still have hours to go and I have a nice limit going.

At this point the tide has been going out and the weeds are getting thicker. My buzz needs cleaning after every cast so I decide on a buzz frog and miss a couple small ones. One fish then absolutely hammers it and I have another 2+ in the boat culling out my 1.5. Nice.

To finish my day (and help keep this a little shorter) I decide to mostly punch as this technique has been getting the better of me over the past year. It wasn't too long before I see a little movement in the cheese, punch through the crap and BAM. Solid fish in the boat culling out the 2! Right after this in the primrose BAM, 1 more fish culling out one of my 2.5s! Yes! On the same patch I get a 1.5 deeper in but doesn't cull.

At the very end of the day across from our launch area I ended up flinging a 4 lber from the primrose then lost another one deep in (have no idea the size). All in all a very fun day for me considering I had lower expectatations!
