#43540, "Spawning area closures on Lakes"

So I fished Lopez lake in the kickboat Thursday,

Report: Slow day, ended up with 3 about 4-5lbs. All with a T-rigged Chigger craw flipped shallow in the stick-ups after the sun came up. Water temp. went from 51-54. water 3-4 foot vis.

So I wanted to make my way back into an area called the pozo arm, but rowed all the way up close to it and found a very small bouy line and even smaller note posted saying the area had been closed for the spawn. The area is about the size of a football field(maybe a little bigger right now).
This got me thinking, because they do this on three of the local lakes here on the central coast, do you really think by closing 10 % of a lake it would make that big a difference for the spawn? Lets here it for or against spawning area closures on lakes?

To fish is to live!
