Met up with Dave just after 7:00 am...The supposed big storm was not very bad in the morning....real light drizzle if any and pretty much no. Dave started off by throwing the silver buddy....hook-up quick with a smallie....then another better one which we got a picture of...went about 2.5. I start drop shotting and hit two smallies to about 2 pounds. Dave picked up a couple of more in the same area on the buddy....not a bad start to the morning, no more then 2 hours in and probably around 5 or 6 fish already caught. I moved off and starting fishing what structure there was sticking out of the water and didn't get bit. Dave stuck around the rock piles we were picking the fish off of but didn't get anymore.

Crossing the lake I was dragging a baby brush hog and get hit hard once, but nothing beyond that. Late morning saw the weather starting to turn, wind is picking up and the rain is starting to come down. Start drop shotting in about 25 feet of water with a castaic shad minnow and get a solid 2 - 2.5 pound largemouth that looks very healthy (good sign from the stories I have heard about the largemouth in here). Continue around the cove we were in with no luck. We start fishing a point and the wind really starts to blow and the point wasn't productive today so we decided to head back to the rock pile from the morning. I get the similar hit on a carolina rig as earlier, one thump and that was it. Dave gets one quick, then he hooks up big....at least what we thought was big, nice carp by the way Dave!! HAR! Then comes the trout after the buddy...not much after that and we called it a day around 2:00 pm (it was getting cold!). Not too bad overall considering, about 8 bass (1 largemouth, the rest smallies), 1 carp, and 1 trout between the two of us..all very healthy fish. It looks like there was a smear on the lense of my camera from the rain...oh well.
