#1795, "fluke shimano rod?"
Fri May-27-05 10:58 AM by ben23

yesterday I was fishing with my shimano spinning rod and a fish inhaled my senko and went for the underwater trees. After a few seconds it broke free from the trees and i tried pulling it away from it. As i did that the rod broke in halfand so did the line.

This was the second time this particular shimano rod had broken on a fish. How do i get a replacement, or am I just going to have to buy a new one?

God bless

BEN

ps: i nailed my 8th citation of the season yesterday.....4.3 pounds

god bless

i have 2 Claruses also (one spinning one baitcasting). you cant ask for more of a rod for <60 dollars. they are good rods for the money.

I still love the V-rods, a bit heavier then the GLX, but lots of good sticks- I'm liking the new Crucials a lot-

I argee w/ Magmaster for domestic rods GLX are the best you can get some better rods from japan but if you break em' your screwed I am not at all tough on rods the only ones I have broke in years were 2 clarus 6'6' M both of the tips broke off w/ setting the hook I will never buy another. If you buy a cheap rod you get what you pay for. NUFF SAID
