Well I'm planning my vacation for somtime this spring,
and I want to hit a lake that offers good camping facilities
and great Bass fishing.I was thinking about Amador or any other
lakes in this region. Does anybody have any suggestions?
When in spring would be a good time to go? Wheres a good
place to take the family? Thanks

The camping facilities at Amador a good and the lake has plenty of big bass and trout. In the same area are lake Comanche and lake Pardee. Comanche has bass and trout as well, and Pardee is a great lake for Smallies as well as trophy trout. The only negitive aspect of all the lakes mentioned is the cost to fish them (but then I am a starving student with a family)

Lotta ins, lotta outs, lotta what have-yous

Yeah its a little bit of a drive but well worth it. Wonderful
camp grounds in the tall pines and a simply awesome lake to
fish. Tannery Gulch is one of my favorites. If you really
want to do it up right rent a houseboat.
