#2698, "G. LOOMIS...... THESE GUYS REALLY CAME THROUGH, PLEASE ..."

Hello Everyone,
I just have to share this story with all of you guys because this time G. Loomis really stepped up.

Two Sunday's ago I broke one of my G. Loomis IMX rods, clearly my fault so I used their Xpeditor service and ordered a new rod for the $50.00 fee. For those of you not familiar with this program, you basically go online, type the rod's model number, your address and credit card info. an a new rod is sent ASAP no questions asked. The only thing you need to do is that once you receive the new rod you are to put the broken rod in the same tube, affix the pre-paid shipping label and send it back to them within 30 days otherwise they charge the full price of the rod on top of the $50.00 dll. fee.

Well this past Friday I received the rod and placed the broken rod in the tube affixed the label and placed it in my car so that i could put it in the mail first thing Monday morning, well my truck was stolen in Mexico with the rod inside ready to go. Believe me the rod was the last thing that concermed me because the damn thieves took a lot of stuff from my truck, gear, tools, sunglasses and a bunch of other stuff that was really more important to me that the rod. The last 3 days have pretty much been a nightmare, dealing with Mexico officials is really a pain in the @ss. Well I figured i needed to call G. Loomis and informed them that they would not be getting the broken rod back but rather the new rod that they sent (could not afford $220.00 right now)and then i went into the whole story with a guy named "Dave", this guy was just amazing, he immediately expressed his concern for what had happened and he said to fax him a copy of the police report (didn't matter that it was in spanish, and did not matter that neither the brand or model number was referenced on the police report) and told me that he would see what he could do. I just got a call back from him and he said that i had already been throgh enough and that i should not worry, he told me to keep the new rod and to not worry about getting billed the new rod price. I was very impressed with the response in fact i wouldn't say impressed but rather surprised that they would do such a thing.

They really came through for me, not only do they make great products but their customer service (contrary to what i've recently heard) is the best that there is as far as top brand rod manufacturers.

For any of you that had doubts about this company, consider this story when making your next purchase and see if the price that you pay is not worth it.

Thanks for hearing my story and tight lines to all.

JUANCHO

I just recently broke my dropshot rod (one that was made with no warrantee) I was trying to decide between the Loomis, St Croix, and an Allstar (all lifetime rods) well needless to say it will be the Loomis!
Thanks

Good Choice Dave, you will not be sorry. If you can afford it get the drop-shot rod that they make I have both the casting and spinning models and couldn't be happier.

Good Luck!

Spinning D/S Rod in 4 to 12# ... gonna be Sweet! Whats even sweeter is that its only $150 (a new one now retails for $245). Only used once from a good friend who bought it for his Fiancee and didnt like it. It's been sitting in his rod locker ever since. In the imortal words of the Dodge dude .... SWEET!

That is sweet Dave, now all you need is a Shimano Sustain or Twin Power and you've got the perfect drop-shot combo. Make sure you spool it with the new Maxima fluoro. it is some awesome stuff.

Take care and hope you nail a few nice ones!

I had a situation where I broke the tip of my 7 weight G Loomis fly rod. They replaced it within a few days. I just had to pay for the shipping $25. I have bought 2 more G Loomis rods for spinning tackle since. Rock solid company like you said.
