#15462, "Santa Margarita Lake question"

Hey Rob, or anyone else that can help. I am heading out to a local lake I havn't fished in awhile. I know the water temp. is way up there and that the banks all have at least 6-8 feet of weed cover all the way around the lake. What patterns would you go with to try and get a good livewell of LM?

Thanks,

Bryan

Bryan,
Margarita has been tough all year, that's for sure. Last Sunday two of us fishing all day only produced one fish. This time of the year I start with some topwater at daybreak (buzzbait, popper, flukes) and then switch to a shad color crank as the sun gets higher. A lot try frogs on the mats but I've never had much luck with them.
