I heard from a buddy that they are chewing big time and he is trying to keep it on the low.Excellent topwater and big bait time also.Gotta get out on the water early and late afternoon has been good also.The largemouth and the stripers are putting on the feed bag big time.

thanks, Muskyman- I guess the gate doesn't open till 7, I'm leaving Dana Point at 5 to get there on time- I'll be throwing the 9 & 12" ACs and the big swimbaits, too- found a big old Cordell Spot that is about 5" long that I bought years ago for Mohave, I might try that too- Report tomorrow!

Shoots, the stripers weren't to be had yesterday, caught a few bass, all smaller units, on Texas rigged 5" worms- I think the key is to be there after a trout plant, we didn't see any breaking fish or anyone catch any striper. Tons of small shad all over the place. Probably some guys who know what they are doing got the stripers, but we were pretty clueless.

those stripers really key in on those trout plants, I spent a week there one time and on the last day I was there they planted trout and there were stripers everywhere in a matter of minutes.
