ANyone know of where I can pick up some live bait in the Los Banos Area? I'm wanting to take some minnows on my next trip. As far as I know Santa Nella is the closest place, but I'm coming from Merced and I'd hate to drive through Los Banos then all the way back. If anyone knows anywhere closer, let me know PLEASE! Thanks.

There use to be a place just west of LB..(across from the walmart on 152)it was called the Outpost...I don't know if it is still open.You can also check Rooney's Liquor's, it's also in LB on the N. side of 152...It's been 10 years since I've lived there..This info maybe out dated..Nathan

Nathan steered ya' right, Mitchells Outpost 21550 W. Highway 152, Los Banos, (209) 826-5559. It'll be on the right hand side of 152 (ALMOST out of town, headin' towards San Luis Reservoir). There's also Buy N' Save Market, 225 7th Los Banos, (209)827-1928 (might want ta' check area codes on those, but I think there correct. I live in Merced and are's be 209.) I've been fishing for anything that swims anywhere thats wet lol. But revently I've been going to the game refuge for cats. I hooked into a real nice striper up there the other day though. There's a picture of it on here, look up the post titled "huge striper at los banos" or something like that.

Hey I forgot to ask, does mitchells outpost sell live minnows. I have places here to pick up my other bait, but nowhere nearby selling live bait. thanks.
