#7151, "Legg Lake"

Has anyone fished legg lake lately? I heard in the past that it can hold some fish. Any suggestions on what type of bait and locations.

I fish these lakes for bass regularly and I will be the first to tell you that these lakes can be real tough. Your better off fishing Puddingstone or even Santa Fe Dam. If you want to challeng your skills then Legg lake will give you the challenge. It will leave the most skilled bass fisherman humbled. There some big bass in these lakes but the bass are definitely not over populated here.

Each lake has a very healthy population of shad, lots of small bluegill, some frogs, and the crawdawds are abundant too. So the bass aren't starving. Plus they plant trout in the lake North and middle lakes. These fish see a lot of presure which makes it even harder. It's a good place to go if you have a few hours to spare and you no expections pf catching anything. If you go with these things in mind then you never know you might be in for a suprise. Good luck. Catch and release.
