Dude, I found an off season use for my swim bait rod last night...as a skunk prod. Little stinky bastard set up camp on my patio about 3 am in the morning and the only thing handy with my mind still in a haze was to grab the longest thing within reach at the moment, that was my GLoomis 8-footer to try and coax the little bassard to get gone. Only problem was my swimbait was till tied on and attached to the reel. Running the ragged edge of panic to try and not get covered in skunk bunghole cologne I nearly got the trebles buried in my hand. But in the end the stiff staff did it's job and like my last few outing with that rod and bait combo, I got skunked yet again. BMC

Naw dude, Skip went panzy on me until he realized that once I was out there it was two against one, then he discovered that extra package between his hind legs were balls and thought he'd get all bad. I thought about telling him it was a kitty cat (his arch enemy)but realized how detrimental the situation was and how much money I would have to spend on tomato paste to get the smell off him. In hindsight I must have subliminally realized my trout bait rod is use to getting skunked so the choice was more befitting. I wonder if the G Loomis folks ever considered such a unique use for their product?
