I am from Montana and want to catch some Catfish. Any suggestions on technique and location for catfishing around LA?

Check out the Santa Anna River Lakes and Irvine Lake. They are both "pay to enter" lakes, but I have heard they produce big cats. I don't do a whole lot of catfishin. Try posting on the Sandiego Fish board ( http://www.sdfish.com/cgi-bin/fishboard.pl ) and I'm sure you'll get a much better response from the So. California group. Good luck. Oh yeah... then try bass fishing, it's much more gratifying!
