Fished 1st at Miller Cyn. near the pump plant thing. It was active there somewhat. My nephew caught a nice 23 inch catfish on a nightcrawler doused in corn scent. He is only 5 yrs. old. My friend caught another cat at 16 inches, also on a crawler. I was bass fishing with some diving lures. I had two strikes - 1 of these had a fish on for like 4 seconds I saw the bass's shadow as it came close. It seemed like a 3 to 4 lb.er. It hit as it chased the lure to about 10 ft. of water. My both strikes came at different times & diff. spots but there at Miller Cyn. on the same lure. It was a vibration-bait diver. Which looked like a goldfish/shad pattern. Not just orange but gold/orange/black. I tryed other types of lures & colors but no hits? I didn't have my bass box so I really only tryed a total of 5 different lures. No plastics though. We all fished the shore where a gate prohibits you to pass. A security patrol-man told us we could not fish there so we had to leave that area. We went to Cleghorn's northwestern shoreline & nothing! x( If we had a boat, we might have been a little more successful ... I think. :D All in all it was cool to get out & fish. Times were from 10am - 3pm.
