#118, "Cachuma"

Well, having nothing else to do and being psyched from friday night's football game- (My Santa Barbara High beat rival San Marcos with 12 seconds left and a 2 point conversion) and also being psyched from watching some guy get his ass kicked by like 5 cops, my friend's Nick, Oren and my dad and i piled into a rental boat at cachuma. let me tell you, cachuma bass are darn stubborn. we saw four or five 2-3 pound fish cruising around in about 10-15 feet of water but none would bite. we threw finnesse worms on em, threw jigs, crankbaits, more finnesse worms, but we couldn't buy a fish. big fish of the day went to nick landing an incredible 2.5. -inches that is. no seriously, it was literally 2 inches long. so, it was pretty much a normal day at cachuma, clear water, notta lotta watta in the lake, and no fish. well, the good side to low water level is you can check out potential spawning grounds to check out in the spring. found a couple i'd like to get on. well, if nothing else came out of it, at least we got to chase some canadian geese around in the boat- nick almost netted one- i mean, we fed them bread crumbs and that was the end of it...
