#1219, "Need Paso Robles Fishing Advice"

I will be in Paso Robles for a week starting this Sunday, 22. There are two lakes(reservoirs) near Paso, Nacimiento and San Antonio. I would like to try and fish here in the early a.m or p.m. from the shore.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Anything and everything helps, as I am really new to freshwater fishing. Tackle ?, Line ?, Bait ?, method?

Thanks in advance.

I was at San Antonio the first of the month. The Harris Creek arm had some monster bass. They were in shallow water on east side across from the small ramp labeled cartop only.Look for a large lilac bush in full bloom or brush sticking out from shore on that bank.In my kayak I could eaze right on top of some really large bass.A cold front was coming thru and had everything slowed down as far as biting, but it could be ready now.A local pro was using a 4" black worm, thick with a blue accent to some success.Good luck.Scott Shaw
