#12816, "Anyone Tube Irvine for Bass?"

I'm looking to go somewhere new on Friday. Don't want to drive more than 3 1/2 hrs. I'm located in Ridgecrest (where the 14 and 395 meet). The only thing around here is Isabella. I'm sick of the wind! Don't really want to fish lower Castaic.

Just looking to put my kickboat in some water with bass that doesn't have 300 jet skiers circling me all day x(

I was thinking Irvine or maybe even Success?

Irvine is a cool place to tube for bass. Right now, there are mixed reports on the bassing. Some fish are up shallow but my buddy who is very competitent went the other day and said the fish are messed up as there is cold water flowing in and the lake level is going up so they are scattered. They caught a few shallow and some deeper. Not wide open shallow bite yet according to him. Still fun though.
