I found that it's actually called a "cormorant." Mean little sucker too. We had to cut the shank of the lead head because we weren't able to remove the the entire hook due to the barb. It was hooked in the mouth with a 5" Prizm Rainbow Trout Big Hammer Later on, i was thinking how that thing can mistaken a big hammer from a real fish. I can understand if it's live bait, but a big hammer with a 1 oz. lead head on it?! Damn, i guess big hammers swims so well that even a bird can mistaken it as a fish. Aaron Gimme Attachment

Those cormorants love small trout. I see them feast on the shorties at Little Rock Reservoir.

I can't believe those birds are protected....I fish at Mission Viejo and those "cormies" crap all over docks like you wouldn't or couldn't imagine...on top of eating lot's of fish. Gerryjig out
