Howdy Anglers,

Almost 500 AB 7 Support letters have been generated from the Friends of California Hatcheries website. I am not sure how many support letters have come in the mail to Assemblyman Dave Cogdill, but I know that it is probably over 2000 (I will find out).

The bill will be heard in the Assembly Appropriations Committee on May 18th. The bill will probably be placed into the suspense file because of money being attached to it. Don't worry if this happens, this is pretty much standard procedure.

If you would like to be proactive, you can send an email to Assemblymember Judy Chu Assemblymember.Chu@asm.ca.gov . She is the Chairperson of the Assembly Appropriations Committee. Tell her that you are in support of this important bill.

As some of you may have experienced, the Friends of California Hatcheries website has been up and down for the last three days. I am not sure what happened, but it should work now.

Remember, if your children fish, have them send a support letter with their age next to their name.

Hey, I know you arent getting much in the way of responses but we're supporting you. The first time I read your post I sent my support letter. I may be a bass guy but when I do trout fish in the Eastern Sierras I like to find some fish. I stand behind what you're trying to do, keep us updated.
