After five years of studying how a trout

behaves when fishing for them I believe I have

developed the best method as of this date using

power bait. This method was developed at a few

lakes in southern California where the water was

clear enough to observe the fish as I fished for

them. I use a number 14 to 18 hook with a split

shot about two or three feet above the bait. I use

a nine foot fly rod for two reason I can cast it

further with a small split shot and the other will

be explained in detail later on. The bait shape is

also important I make it about one and a half to

two inches long and about three-sixteenth in

diameter. . This is just the first part of the Bert Inoue method I would like to divulge the rest of the method but only after I copyright this method. I'm sure I will out fish any off your experts using power bait by three to one. If you are interested please contact me.
.

actually posting it on a forum is, in a way, copywriting it since there will be a date of your post and witnesses etc. but im not sure if that would work... just mail it to yourself :)

I use 2lb leader.....A small single hook, and roll it up into a little worm....Skinny enough to make the little hook point stick out a little bit.....It works but I really don't fish trout that much anymore......

Could use some big striper tips tho......Warren :-)

Sounds like you have a pretty good method for down here. Have you tried it in other states?

I know that when i lived in Alaska they really never would hit power bait, just worms in spring, shrimp and salmon eggs (roe) for the rest of the year.
