Today Assembly Bill 7 was placed into suspense. Actually, this is normal procedure for any legislation that has money connected to it.

However, the analysis of the bill by the committee's consultant was not exactly favorable. It wasn't terrible, but you could tell that DFG were the only ones who were allowed to give input on the bill. The bill's analysis is still not posted on the legislative sites or I would share it with you.

So, we will be working on the members of the committee for the next week or so before they actually vote on the bill.

The only thing that I can suggest for anglers to do is to write to the Senate Appropriations Committee and tell them how important the bill is to you. If you click on the link for the email, you will have to write a brief message to the committee. Here is the link:
