Well there won't be any photos in this report because I got skunked! What can I say? First thing that happened was I saw Austin out fishing some deep water so I stopped by to say hi. I handed him my new castaway so he could check it out and he fires off a cast. Only he never touched the spool, which resulted in a monster monster backlash since I don't use the mechanical or the brake weights. Whoops. Cut the backlash out after spending about 10 minutes trying to salvage the brand new 12 pound I had on there. Oh well.<BR>Headed to the swimming pool cove and tried some different things to no avail. Back to the marina cove since they planted a bunch of trout on Wednesday. Threw the big MS slammer for the rest of the evening but didn't see anything happening. Had an enjoyable conversation with Craig Jacobson who hold the lake record for stripers. At 5:30 I packed it in. Next time ...
