#1716, "Flood control canals?"

Has anyone, besides me now, ever wet a line in the ones on the East side of 101 in Morgan Hill? The look like classic bass ponds and some of them never go dry. The one I tried had lots of small insect and minnow life, but no bass, bluegill or other gamefish that I saw. Max. depth was 4-5', with tons of cover.

Tight lines,
Wade

Many times 15-20 years ago, look real promising but I had no sucess. Caught trout out of the little creek (canal)though. Those ponds still look promising and with the knowledge that has been gained in 15+ years I should give it another try, but unfortunantly I live out in Pleasanton and would rather hit the Delta. I wouldn't give up I'm sure someone else probably has had some luck.
