When to lopez yesterday and caught 4 nice ones, 1 was native. My friend caught only 2. They were all caught on super dupers. The 1/8 oz. gold ones are some hot stuff. Gotta go, my rock fishing boat is out front waiting for me!!! Keep ya updated!

Aquaman, all trout species are divided into three catagories; native, wild, and stocked. native trout are directly descended from fish that have lived in a given drainage for millenium, wild trout are fish that have derived from planted stock and may have spent generations in a given habitat and planters are first generation fish released into a habitat. I have always wondered how to tell the difference. how could you tell you had a native?

I am not to familliar with the wild trout, but I know about the natives. When you clean your fish that you catch the meat will eather be white or a light salmon color. The salmon means that its a native. On the planters you can also see the worn fins and scales, that is from the large, cramped tanks they are raised in. Glad I could help!
Tight lines,
Aquaman
