Well, had to work today till 5 and around lunch time I thought it was a shame I have not been to Castaic for the good pre spawn/early spawn bit going on. So I went home on my lunch break grabbed my light spinning rods and a few gitzits and reapers to try to find an early bed fish or two. I got off and made the two mile drive from my work to the lower lake. A friendof mine has been wacking some decent fish there off shore lately so I didnt bring a tube. Also you cant spot bed fish in a tube very well anyhow. I started out on the swimming beach where your not suppost to fish. I had my polarized sun glasses on and I didnt see any bed fish! I worked my way down to a sand point and just started workin my gitzit. I didnt have any confidence fishing it on non bed fish so I switched over to a bonzaii reaper. Nothing. I suck. <BR>However, I'm going to Cabo SAn Lucas Aril 6th so look for a report on that and a trip for seabass at Catalina possibly in the books for both Friday and Saturday.
