While prefishing for the Gilroy Bassmaster night tournament about a week ago I smashed the rod tip/guide on a brand new GLoomis CBR845 Crank bait rod (didn't break the tip, closed shut). I called GLoomis and they sent me 2 spare rod tip replacements and they said a fly shop, etc could fix this for me and it would still be under warranty.
Can anyone recommend a shop to have this fixed? I would do this myself, but after spending $200 for the rod I would prefer to have a professional fix this for me.
I live in Sunnyvale, but I don't mind driving to the East Bay, San Jose or Gilroy. Thanks.

just get some tip epoxy from any rod building website and it is easy as heck all you do is heat the other one to get it off. heat up the epoxy and drip a few drops into the tip and slide it on
youll laugh at how easy it is

Actully I took it to Fishermans warehouse in San Jose and they fixed the guide for free. I watched him fix the tip and it was actually fairly simple to do. I guess I'm just lazy. :D
