Had to take off a little early on Friday (9/6), as it was overcast and rainy. Got to Perris with my son just as the end of a front was passing over. Fished the east end with a Texas-rigged worm. I got skunked (typical lately), but my son caught a little bass (10"). About 5 minutes later his pole set to bending serious like. After a pretty good fight, he brought up a catfish that looked to be around 3 pounds. First catfish for either of us. I didn't know they fought that much.

catfish fight like crazy, I love to hook a couple if the bass bite isn't very good.
