Wade, I could not hyperlink to the "Resond to author" option:therefore; I'll respond this way, o.k? From Morgan Hill take 101 north and exit E.Dunne towards the hills (East). Follow the road until you can SEE the bridge. Fish the banks before it. If you've gone passed the bridge it's o.k. because I've had the same experience beyond there, too. The walk down to the waters edge is pretty steep so please be careful. The banks before the bridge is where the Bass hit. I didn't post it in my previous message but the Bass were hitting my 1/4 oz. grub as well (white & chartruese). Hey, give it a shot but don't spend too much time in one spot if you are going for the Big One. There is alot of catchable size fish in there. As for the Big Trout lures, they just might work. Last year, my buddy and I were fishing Anderson and to our surprise he caught a trout. Did they stock it? I don't know. Anderson is not known for stocked Trout. What I do know is that these Bass eat Crappies & Bluegill. The thing that surprised me the most was the sheer speed of this guy. I fish plastics ALOT and know how subtle a bite can be. As for the fish that has eaten my fish, they are surprisingly quick.

JCAB, call me at (831)623-7880 Ext 2284 from 8 to 4 or leave a message at (408) 778-7410 anytime, if you want to link up. I see your fishing the West bank. Were you fishing at the downed tree in that one small cove almost straight down from the higher parking lot or further towards the old marina in the pockets of brush?

Tight lines,
Wade

actually, i have caught trout there before, 4 in about 20 minutes to be exact and this was back behind the bridge about 100 yards from the creek entrance all the way at the back. NO, they do not stock trout in anderson. but i firmly believe that they are there from when coyote reservoir overflows because at the back side of the dam is the creek that dumps out into anderson at the end back behind the bridge. i have actually beached my boat back there and walked up the creek and seen some large bass and carp back there.

I'm jealous, your 1st post and you already have an avatar of a Golden trout. Is it one you caught and if so where, when and how? About the trout you got at Anderson, were they Rainbows with fully formed fins or ground-off fins and when and how did you get them? Lastly, are you a relative of Vera's? She was a teacher of my estranged wife's at Live Oak.

Tight lines,
Wade

no, not one that i caught. i will change it to a brown trout that i did catch on truckee very soon though.
no, not related to vera but i did go to live oak high in 1988.
the trout were definitely stockers. funny thing was that i was actually throwing mini jigs fishing for crappie. i am almost positive that they were from lake coyote.
