I want a floattube that will sit me the highest out of the water. I have been looking at the outcast fat cat and the caddis 2000 pro and the trout unlimited togiak. Any help would be great.

im not really interested in pontoons either. thanks

I think most experienced ocean tubers feel the Fat Cat is the cats meow, even if they don't have one. I've got a WoodStream Stealthrider but I was looking for a tube like the Kennenbec for the Big Salty UNTIL..... I saw the Fat Cat.

That'll be my next ride.

I don't have a ton of expierence in different tubes as I have only ever used 2, a Caddis U shaped and a Togiak. I really like the Togiak, I sit up high and it has a large striping/flattie landing area at the front and plenty of pockets. It also has a front deck area behing the seat which comes in handy for storing things like a life vest. The Togiak kicks easy. The seat on the Togiak isn't as comfortable as the U shaped but it's not bad.

does the togiak sit you level with the water or are you still in the water?
if i get it i think i would raise it a little more myself.

The Togiak has 2 thick (4 inch) foam pieces that you put in the seat bottom pocket. I sit at least level with the water if not out of the water and I'm a big guy. You can check out some photos of me in the Togiak (Camo color) if you search back to some of the posts from this summer by Leapin bass. Just try to ignore the flatties and seabass. By the way, my brother has the Togiak in Teal and Black. I was a little leary about the color but it looks better in person then it does in the pictures.
