First post on Calfishing.com, killer site! Looking forward to wetting
lines at the Diamond Valley opener (like the hundred others that are waiting). Anyone out there hear any dates for when we will be able fish? See you on the water, Skinner this weekend.

Welcome to the site, stay away from DoubleTrouble and you'll be alright. I'm with you, I can't wait till the opener. I'm still trying to secure myself a four stroke. I've heard it's supposed to open in March, and I've also heard it's supposed to open "this summer" so I'm not sure when the actual date is, maybe somebody can clear things up.

Brian,
Thanks for the info. I am in the same situation as for getting
a four stoke for Diamond Valley. Hard sell to the wife$$ on
getting more equipment for the rig.

Welcome!
Good Luck @ Skinner & let us know how you do.
Sorry, don't know anything about Diamond Valley except that it looked huge when it was empty.

This is one of those "friend of a friend" things, but the latest word as far as an opener is in September. It's very possible they are only going to allow 4 strokes and NO shore fishing in the beginning. We'll just have to see what happens.

Between Temecula and Hemet off Hwy. 79 at Newport Rd. in the Domenigoni/Diamond valleys, which is four miles southwest of the city of Hemet.
The visitor center is on Newport Rd. at the east side of the lake. Take Hwy. 79 to the new Domenigoni Hwy. Go east 7 miles to State St., turn right, go about 1 mile to Newport Rd., turn right.

Woodsac,
Good inside news, thanks man. Drive by the west dam 2 times a
day, and it is just killing me to get in there and fish for
florida strain. The MWD biologist(Mike) did a great job on
establishing the bass habitat. Would like to know how to get
all the GPS fixes where all the structure they built around the shore lines. 4-stroke issue is a major one in my houshold right now$$$

All Right!! another Skinner fisher!

The regulations on what is allowed on lake Skinner have been changed as of January 1st. I DO NOT BELIEVE THAT CARBUERATED 2-STROKES ARE ALLOWED ANYMORE. YOU MIGHT WANT TO CALL BEFORE YOU GO.

My son and I will be at Skinner this Saturday. We are usually there at least 1 day each weekend.

We're in a late model red and white Glastron Runabout. We'll probably be drifting on the south shore or in the east end.

Feel free to introduce yourself if you see us!
