This one is just for you Jeff L

Went to Silverwood with Eric K on Thursday. As we traveled up the road past the swept aside snow drifts, we knew conditions would be tough. The night before the snow had fallen, and air temp was in the low 40s. After launching and seeing the water temp in the high 40s, we started fishing jigs on steep banks. We were the ONLY BOAT ON THE WATER ALL DAY LONG!!!

We ended up catching six bass on two different spots all on black/blue jigs with black pork. The bite was from 9-10:30 AM, including a three fish 5 minute flurry on our first spot. All I can tell you about the bite is that when you are so cold, you can't move your rod or reel, you'd get bit. Can you say SLOW-crawling. Wind blew throughout the day, and it rained a little off and on. It was nice to have the lake all to ourselves, even though the wind often dictated where we could fish. Eric kicked my a@# getting two 6 pounders and a 4, but at least I caught a couple and stretched my line a bit.

Here's Eric with the two 6s (Yes it was that COLD!!!)

What the? CJ actually went fishing?

That's a pretty good bite all things considered. Can't complain with 6 jig fish.

Chris, at least you didn't use the "back seater" excuse. How many of those "line stretchers" were rock bass? Don't worry bout it though, Eric has done that to me many times too. At least this time he was in his boat.

BMC, is that you? To set the record straight I caught a 3.5 and a 2.5, and Eric hogged the rest. Glad to be a backseater though in that wind. You gotta get out of your roust and head out there.

Chris, what chu talkin' bout fool. Did Castaic on Saturday for one lousy 4 pounder. Didn't see anyone else doing any good so I didn't feel so bad on the way home. Did the big hawg hole today with George. Saw some nice big giants up shallow. Farmed an eight twice, then passed her off to another guy, who farmed her. Then Gerry M. decided to let try her for his kid. He poked her too then gave the rod to his kid to fight it. The kid was stoked. Pretty cool. BMC

Dude, I don't know, might be ####ty weather tomorrow. Supposed to rain and be all jacked up. After the spanking I got there last saturday the bite would have to come back on in a big way. Call Eric and he'll give you my work number. I am here till 5, then you can reach me at home after six. Late.

BMC, forget it...i'd rather go to Castaic with CJ, Eric says that Chris lets the boater catch all of the big ones!...oops, was i supposed to say that? LOL CJ, i've never been to Silverwood and i stopped checking my email @ work because of all the "TOAD" pic's that he and Dale send me!!! Make's me not want to work anymore!!! (but then i couldn't spend the paycheck @ BWW, and it would be a lose/lose situation for us both! LOL)

That's okay Jeff, that's why I personally addressed this post to you. To brighten up your dreary, work filled day....LOL. How 'bout a friendly tournament in a week or two. Me and BMC could reunite the ABA Angler of the Year team against you and Eric. And by the way, NO LIVE SHAD...ROFLMAO!!! Set it up, and we'll be there. Silverwood would be a good choice, Eric and I don't have a lot of common water there. I just gotta keep Brian from looking for non-existant site fish...Is that three slams in one post? Damn, better stop while I'm ahead.

Now that's what I'm talkin bout! You go boyee! Layin' the fishin' smack down like a two dolla street corner pimp. But you know Chris if there's fish even lookin' for a place shallow to get his groove on I'm gonna find it. Let's just hope that Eric forgets his jigs and we might be safe after seeing the spanking he delivered fresh to his, uh-um, backseater last week. Maybe we can throw down at the Pudd. Eric and I might hit it on Wednesday so I'll know all his spots. LOL.

Hey, it's Jeff's turn to do some slammin'!!! First off BMC, i don't know how you managed only one fish @ Castaic last weekend...i went there around 1:00 p.m. today and met Dale on his boat and we caught a dozen or so including a nice trout plug fish, hmmm, i wonder if it was on our prototype CJ??? And CJ, the tourney you're talking about might have to be in two years instead of two weeks because that's how long it's going to take you to save up for the entry fee (Diaper's, Formula and Diaper Genie replacements for little Blake Michael are bank!!!) As for EDK, damn! only one (1) post??? Instead of going to Pud you should be pre-fishing Casitas for us, i just hope you have the entry fee!

Nuff Said,

Jeff L.

Jeff, when I went it sucked. When you went it was better. Besides I left by 1 pm last week, the same time you got there. Maybe the bite would have been better in the afternoon. And don't whine to me about not having dough to fish with. Seems like if someone would camp out at work instead of on the water, someone might have enough dough to keep his kids backside clean and still able to fish. Things that make ya say...hum? By the way...dude where's my Ichi's? Peace out.BMC

Yo RUN BMC,

The dough part was intended for CJ w/his new kid! The slam about the Castaic fish was just to slam you about something...The ichi's should be reaching you on your next Perris T. via EDK, he has them in his possession NOW!!! Damn, i'm a nice guy...

Yes Fish Master J, I bow before thy presence at the generosity of your selfless offering otherwise known as a free baits. Eric went to the stone without me today and ended up with a seven-plus. Go figure, the day I don't go it turns on. We were going to try it again tomorrow but now I have to tie up some work stuff so again I can't go. He'll probably get a ten! Then to top it off I have to go out of town for three days this weekend and just when everything is on the verge of lighting up. It'll probably rain all next week too. Ugh. I think I'll just dig a big hole in the back forty and stock it so I can get my fix without having to leave. Hey, you wanna take Chris up on his tournament offer at Silverwood next week? Could be fun as long as it isn't as cold as when Eric and Chris went. Late.
