Went up to Cachuma today for a few hours. I got on the water at 6 and started off at out house point where i had a fish blow up on my dead sticked slammer. Then i had a smallie on the worm there, but decided i didnt want to worm fish so i headed off to the bluffs just accross the lake and threw a lucky craft pointer 100. My first fish there was a 5#er then i had 4 other fish after that, a mixed bag of smallies and largemouth, the biggest smallie going 2.5. Then at the end of the bluffs at the enterance to Bobcat i stuck a fish that went 5.2. By then it was about 7:30 decided to look for bed fish, but couldnt find any fish committed so i went home at 9:30. Good day all in all. The fish up there seemed stupid today, but it was still fun.

Nice fish Brian. I went up there after all yesterday and had a fantastic day with my daughter. We caught and released close to 20 fish plus numerous others that came un done! Only 1 came one a jerk bait the rest were worm fish. Biggest was close to 5Lbs and had a smallie close to 3lbs. Awesome day, to bad I have some tounrey's coming up from preventing me from going back up for at least a month:(

Good to hear you wacked um Jeff. They really are on up there right now. I think im going to head up to Casitas these next couple of weeks and try for a big one, but it kills me knowing how good Cachuma is right now, the bite up there is really just sickening!

I was working the ripbaits with 3 short rips then a pause just to let you know, nothing too fancy, and the fish didnt seem to care, they were really just stupid on the ripbait.

Man, how can you pass up the fishing up there, to fish Casitas instead??? If I didn't have my club tourney up there in 3 weeks I would be heading back. But I know what you mean, the chance of catching a big fish is addicting! Brian any jig fish lately? I love to throw a jig.

Dave, if we go out on Saturday I will show you. That is a Pointer 78DD right Brian?? It sure looks like it. They are in awesome bait. I have tons of Lucky Crafts and love them. They catch lots of fish.
