I fish bass at Legg during the week after work. The bite has dropped off big time over the past couple days. It seemed that the lakes had already gone through a partial post spawn blues period and then rebounded. It should pick up over the next week in the new moon. There's a lot of bait in the water and weed growth has really taken off. Drop a note next time you go and if it's in the afternoon we can meet up out there. See you on the water.

Almost forgot to mention that although I haven't fished Pudd in a couple weeks my friend who fishes it several times a week said it's been on the slow side with mostly small fish on the bite in recent days. It could be worse. You could be devoting all your time to finals while the fishing is going off but instead your getting finals out of the way while the fishing is slow. I will say that when you do come out to the lake plan either coming first thing in the morning (You want to be on the water at day break if you can get in to the parks at time)or late in the afternoon (best fishing has been after 5 pm. typical pattern for this time of year). Bring some reaction baits and a top water or two wouldn't hurt either.

Make that three, I haven't been fishing much this quarter. But I'll start again at the end of finals week. Hopefully Perris will be good to me :7. Looking forward to summer...
