Location :Oxnard Jetty Surf

Bait: Mojo Motor Oil/Red Flake Grubs 1 1/2 and Clear Red flake.

Scent: BaitMate

Equipment: Lite 7' Ugly Stick and Dawia Reel 2500c.

Line: Maxima 6lb line for main and 6lb cheap line for leader.

Hook: Eagle Claw Hooks: Baitholdier # 8 size.

Summary: Using the Carolina rig I hook into Two halibuts One size 14"

and other was 16" both on Motor oil/Red Flake color. Other then that

was one 11" Yellowfin Croaker on sandcrabs. The area is very good to

BB,

I want to take my son for some simple surf fishing.

Could you please give me the approximate directions to this jetty?

Thanks

First thing try to get some fresh mussel and dig for sandcrabs using light to medium actions rods and 6lb to 15 lbs test line. Next use the high and low rig or corlina rig. The hook size should be # 8 or # 6.
