I work in Santa Monica, and I was wondering how the surf fishing is as a general rule. I am on Ocean Park, and was wondering if anyone has any luck fishing the beach. Sometimes traffic is so bad, I just want to wait it out, and I was thinking fishing for a few hours may be a good idea. True, it's getting darker sooner, but I am still curious.

Any suggestions? What about parking? How far is the walk?

Dude you should just go skate some of the old z-boys spots!:-) don't know how the fishin' is but that's what i would do.
