Woke up this morning to howling winds. The plan was to go to Cherry but not with this kind of condition. Didn't want to stay home, so I call my cousin to tell him of the new plan. I picked him up and we headed back to Newport Bay where I know we would be protected by the wind from the houses. Today was much better than Monday bassing. The current was really moving which made the bite alot better. We started fishing around 7. At 10 someone turned the swith off killing the bite. (slack tide). We had 6 doubles today. The fish are averaging the same as Monday. We work the docks and grass for a total of: Me 19 fishes and Lang my cousin with about 15 fishes.
My 19 fishes: 1 hali 1 calico 2 sandies 15 spotties
Langs 15 fishes: 1 sandy 1 hali (~20") 13 spotties

Hey Socal,
I have tomorrow off work and was wondering if you might be heading to cherry beach in the morn? Figure I might as well fish it for the first time with the local master. Does the wind really turn the place off, cause I'd love to spend my day off tying into some fish.

The plan is the be at Cherry Beach tomorrow morning. But if the wind is like today most likely I'll be back at NP bay. The ocean tend to get a little choppy with too much wind, that's why I don't like it when there is wind.
