#13567, "1.5 Day on the Sea Horse 8/8"

Jumped on the Sea Horse on Sunday night to do a little tuna fishing and some of the deck slave aka pinhead stuff. We didn't put the jigs in til about 7 and our first stop wasn't until 9. First stop was on some boiling fish one of the deckies spotted. Solid bluefin, no ablies. I got one of the seven on this stop. Mine was the biggest, right around 10-11 pounds. Yeah I know, small, but still my first bluefin. Next stop was around 10:30 I believe and I got one of the four albies caught at that spot. Next stop was for 18 albies and I got one of them and had two sawed offf by people who couldn't keep their fish under control. For the rest of the day we had 2 more stops for one fish on each. Water was 66-68.5 today. I have no idea where we were so sorry for no numbers. Not wide open fishing but I had a blast.

Nice work on the bluefin!! Did you guys have Mexican permits? I talked to the guy at the wharf, he said it was all in US waters, my guess is the Airplane? That was on Friday, plans may have changed by Sunday evening- good job!!

I work in the fishing industry so I don't fish. When I do I generally fish Casitas, The Lagoon or Perris.

There was some carp around the 209 a few weeks ago but I haven't heard anything lately. Some swordies have been baited too on the various banks.
