15 pound Wrasse on 12 lb test. Hooked into a bigger one on 12 lb too but it was way too heavy to lift him off the bottom and after a half hour, I locked down the drag on a Calcutta 200 and busted him off. Next time, Im using 30 lb test.

I weighed him on the digital when I got home, some 6 hrs later at 14.2 pounds

The bigger fish remains a mystery. I hooked up & it dove straight to the bottom. Then, just serious, big weight - no movement, no headshakes, no nothing! After 20 minutes of nothing, I started pulling really hard, pumping it & still nothing and then buttoned the drag down and busted off. So now Im thinking I had the bottom. What gives? I KNOW that fish took drag & even monster Goats make a few runs. I guess I'll never know now
