#14587, "3 Day on the Sea Adventure 80"

Got back last thursday from my annual charter on the Sea Adventure 80. This trip is a three day. We targeted Albacore as the kelp paddie yellowtail fishing that is going off in San Diego now had not started yet.

Day one was very good. Flat calm ocean and biting Albacore and Blue fin tuna. We ended up with 80 mixed tuna. I caught a limit of Albacore and a Bluefin. I spent the remainder of the day hooking and handing to other folks. The Albacore were in the 18-30 pound range. The Bluefin 12-18 pounders.

Day two was flat calm. The Albacore were tough to locate. We spent the afternoon chasing huge schools of breaking bluefin and mixed schools of Albacore and Bluefin. The Bluefin were scratchy and there were 10 seiners working this area. All had nets in the water. We caught 30 mixed tuna. I got a school sized Bluefin. The JP for day two was a 55 pound Bluefin.

Day three we scratched out 15 or so mixed tuna.

We had a great time, good food. This boat is very nice with 10 staterooms and air conditioned galley. I posted a few openings on this site but no one responded. This is a yearly trip and typically we have two-four new people each year. Keep this in mind if you want to fish tuna with a nice group and a nice boat.

That was really a great trip. Thanks for the information, bye the way, what is the charter 's name or who is the chartermaster? I like to fish with others who are into lite-loads and really can fish well and have a fun time with everyone getting happily alot of fish. That skipper and his son are the same way, No replacement for a great trip with great people. So if you want to get a full trip, I would like more information on who is this charter set-up for, Sorry i missed the original post.

drive it yourself

It is my charter. I have had this trip for about 6 years. It is usually the third week of July, leaving on a Sunday and returning on Wed. I can be reached at bullsprig2@juno.com
