#14613, "Salty Secrets"

Josh wanted to come up to Norbu Land

We were under a gale warning

Which of course means that it was unusually calm ALL DAY

Launched into glass just before sun up

Bounced around to a bunch of old school spots

Now I’ve fished with Josh a bunch and I know he always sticks fish,
But I finally discovered the secret technique that the salty ones only use on game day
That keeps putting them on the podium…

Big Hammers fished on the spinner

Another slug spinner sandor hits the deck
He claimed that his wrist hurt and I don’t want to know the secret behind that

Tons of bait and macks everywhere
We had a few flurries when we found some current
At one point Josh is bringing in his bait with a some mack followers, I looked down off the back corner and I see a pup thresher hanging about 12 feet down,
I just pitched him what I had in my hand, which ended up being a 5.5 inch Senorita Big Hammer on 15 pound. I sent it down to about where I saw the fish and I get bumped. Not sure if he tailed whacked it or bit it, I jigged it a couple of times and he comes back around and eats it. Now I got a pissed off fish with 10 feet of line out, he immediately takes off at light speed under the boat and almost snaps me off on the button down drag, I bring him back around and comes up to the surface only to take off again ripping line towards the back of the boat and snaps me off on the motor.. whole thing only lasted like 10 seconds

I had about a 12 pound flattie on the redrum early and Josh had a ling and a late day flurry on some quality chocolates
