Did a turkey shoot in Long Beach yesterday, then hit it again in the evening. The shoot was slow, I had one 2lb sandy, a couple shorts, and a nice 4+ dumped maybe 5' from me. I ended up tied for 3rd. 2nd place was a 2.5# mixed bag, winner had 4# w/ 2 spotties. After dinner we hit it again, nighttime is usually the best there. It turned out to be sorta slow. I finished w/ 6 legal sand bass to 3#, maybe 12 shorts and a small YFC. Missed many to inattention or just being too slow. There will be a night turkey shoot there on the first sat night of next month if I remeber correctly. Anybody wanna join us?

Only tried it once, and got skunked. But, I'm sure you could. Just do it at night, and also try the other side of the marina. There is a lot more area to walk over there. It's over where the Harbor Patrol dock is.

Now go get thee a tube. It's the best investment in fishing that I've made in years.
