I'm not sure which I'll get to hit. One buddy wants to get a Hali for his Dad and my other buddy has been telling me about hitting 4-8 Striper 2-5# each of the last 4 nights at sundown. He goes out to the end of Cottonwood road near Santa Nella and gets 'em right at Sundown if the water's flowing a little. He says during the day and late at night NOTHING happens, but at Sundown they can't leave a curly tailed white hairraiser alone by the gates.

Tight lines,
Wade

Went to Moss Landing Sat. and didn't get any. I lost the nob tails off 2 swimbaits, and watched the most aggressive 14" Flattie ever, hit my 5" Fish Trap over 5 times. He chased it into 1' of water and was still trying to hit it while I swam it back and forth, before he finally got a clue and vacated.
At about noon we drove over to the Aquaduct. First we went up and down the Delta-Mendota Canal trying to catch some bait from around the little pumps that siphon water off of it. After catching shiners, and other little fish, we decided it was time to hit the Aquaduct and so we went to my friends spot. As soon as he saw the water he said "I don't know if we're going to do any good on stripers with the water this murky." It seems that the last few times the water has had about 6-10' visibilty and last time he could see stripers cruising 4-6' down and was actually sight fishing for them. This time vis was 2' max. So I rigged one rod with a slider rig and put a shiner on it. Not to long after that I got a good hit and came back with half a shiner. The next 2 casts same thing happened so I rigged with a stinger hook. I got a catfish of about 4# on the next cast and that was that. My buddy was using a larger live bait and he got a few good strikes but no connections. When I ran out of shiners I used Anchovies for a 1# Cat. By that time it was time to head for home. It was a fun day, just not a very productive 1.

Tight lines,
Wade
