#265, "Halibut"

Halibut are inshore for some float tubing and surf fishing in the SB area. I haven't checked out Goleta or Ellwood yet but down near the wharf has been good. Have heard some good reports (see WON) and have done well myself. Got a 26 incher on May 13. Went down for an hour before work last Thursday and got 5 shorts from the surf (all on plastics). I released one of the shorts and he went straight down near my feet and started covering himself with sand. As I watched him "disappear" I noticed two others about the same size right next to him. They must be all over the place!
Here's my 26 incher - caught on a Worm King AA.
