Fished Saturday out of SB on my buds 18 ft. Arima. We buddy boated with another friend in a 17'Center Console. We were on the water by 6:00 AM. Passed on bait and headed straight for the One Mile. First boat there. First two casts nailed two legal Calicos on the black/red Fish Trap. Ended up with four from that spot. Partner threw iron and hung a log cuda. Moved down to the Horseshoe where I got three more bass, partner blanked.
Tried inside by that Taj Mahal looking thing, nobody home.

Buddy boat had stopped and got squid at the receiver. 30 bucks for a 1/2 scoop. thought they would kill the sea bass with it.
We did better with the plastics/iron.

Move back up to the One Mile. Stardust is on the spot. As we set up nearby I see birds working outside. We bail toward the spot and Cudas are out of the water chasing bait. Turn around and the Stardust is hauling ass right behind us. We throw the iron for a few fish but have to keep moving to stay with em,
but with no bait we were pretty limited. Stardust stuck em good. Pretty cool seeing the Cudas get air though. Big fish too.
Ended up with nine bass for me, three for my bud and four or five scooters. Kept three bass for dinner, released the rest. Off the water by 12:30. Fun day in SB.
